The Illinois Animal Control Association presents a one-day workshop on essential elements of animal control in our state. Learn from experienced personnel about how to apply the Animal Control Act, how to correctly investigate animal bites, how to keep from getting bitten on the job, and what is required of ACOs to report on child and elder abuse. You’ll also have an opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues throughout the state during our Open Forum.
8:30-8:45 Welcome and Introductions
8:45-10:15 Enforcing the Illinois Animal Control Act
10:30-12:00 Conducting Animal Bite Investigations
1:00 –2:30 Bite Prevention for the ACO
2:45-4:15 ACOs as Mandated Reporters
4:15-5:00 Open Forum
